I love hearing it.

I’ve taken to not even putting the game on the TV at all — I just listen to Pat and Ron.

Really?

I can’t do without the visuals, if I’m near the TV.

Why don’t you buy a SportSynch radio?

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

I haven't bought one

because I don’t want to pay $50 for a transistor radio. If it was a component I could plug into my AV system, I might do it.

Depends

If he goes for 13 or over, he won’t throw the no-hitter that he’s lined up for. If he throws fewer pitches, he’s got a much better chance for the no-no. He won’t give up a run though.

Who needs a stinkin' tag line? What are they for anyway?

They still need a 2B though. He’d be perfect at #2 in this lineup or even leading off.

I'm not sold that the Cubs are capable of turning the corner

until the offense actually turns in a competent performance against a GOOD starting pitcher, something they’ve not mustered in weeks. And the whole “that’s why they are good pitchers” argument doesn’t work, opposing teams find ways to score against our GOOD pitchers. Playoff teams just cant sit around and wait for the Pirates to come to town every week to pad the offensive stats. Show me something Cubs offense – do something against Billigsley, Peavy, Carpenter…
