That brings up an interesting question

If a team was to go on a bad losing streak, say lose 15 in a row or something crazy, could the manager order AAA uniforms for everyone and make them wear it at the next game?

I think all uniform deviations

(everything other than your standard home and away unis) have to be approved by MLB. Alternate caps, softball jerseys, patches, etc.

yes, but if the league approved it and everyone on the team wore it AND

the team (and MLB) can figure out how to make a buck off it, it would happen.

i'm not saying it's the end up the game, but i thought since the lineup was announced that it's as if he's looking at today as a throwaway game

oh man this is some quality singing

Sounds like a couple of linemen are singing!

Quick 1-2-3 for Marshall!

Time for Bears offensive linemen to sing the stretch!

Six pitch inning for Marshall.

16 groundouts now

nicely done

Great job by Marshall so far

Too bad he got this particular Cubs lineup and had to face Lincecum. Seems like Marshall usually gets poor run support.

by elgato on May 5, 2009 3:05 PM CDT reply actions

Certainly didn't look good after a few batters...

but he’s settled in nicely. he’s having a great year.

by SouthernCub on May 5, 2009 3:06 PM CDT up reply actions

sad he is playing with the b squad

4 hits, 2BB, 2ER

He’s doing his job. Marshall’s also doing a fine job, tho.

He does have to feel like he got thrown to the wolves a bit

But that’s part of being a good teammate, I suppose.

Marshall seems to get screwed on the run support side EVERY start

it seems like one starter gets screwed every year and so far Marshall is not getting any support.

Let’s get some RUNS!!!

Marshall is lining up against #1s or #2s most of the time, so he is doing just fine.

I am not complaining, just stating a fact about run support.

They do.

Last night, I paused the TV, took a photo, and sent it to all my college friends. My wife didn’t know what it meant and she had to look it up on urbandictionary. She said, “that’s not right. Who’d name their kid Merkin?”
