That brings up an interesting question
If a team was to go on a bad losing streak, say lose 15 in a row or something crazy, could the manager order AAA uniforms for everyone and make them wear it at the next game?

I think all uniform deviations
(everything other than your standard home and away unis) have to be approved by MLB. Alternate caps, softball jerseys, patches, etc.

by neverAcquiesce on May 5, 2009 2:25 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
yes, but if the league approved it and everyone on the team wore it AND
the team (and MLB) can figure out how to make a buck off it, it would happen.

MLB needs to improve their spell check
if they approved those new Nats jerseys from the othe day.
by Allie on May 5, 2009 2:28 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
The question is
how far in advance it needs to be scheduled.
But you’re right, if the Cubs says MLB is making money they’ll let them wear whatever they want.

i'm not saying it's the end up the game, but i thought since the lineup was announced that it's as if he's looking at today as a throwaway game
and i don’t have the stats in front of me but lincecum has historically been able to dominate the Cubs even when our offense is clicking as good as ever

well this season he's been far from untouchable.
and as this game has gone on it looks more and more like lou didn’t think the Cubs would have much of a chance to change their luck against him and decided it might be better to get some of his guys a much-needed rest since they’re still 6 days away from their first off day in weeks
