Tuesday was a nice warm day, and the Westdale Brewers felt confidant as they travelled to meet the Northlake Orange, but their hopes were dashed when the NLO scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to win in a walkoff.

The NLO scored three runs in the bottom of the second and one in the bottom of the third, but the Brewers struck back in the top of the third and fourth. In the fourth inning, Max got his first hit, advancing a runner to second, and legged the infield hit out. Still, no damage to his hamstring.

The Brewers shut the Orange hitters down for the next two innings. Max grounded out in the top of the sixth on a 3-0 count. But the Orange came back in the bottom of the sixth with three runs to win the game 6-5.
Max was involved in a single defensive play in Right Field on a grounder. "I felt very happy to contribute defensively. I got in front of the ball and threw it to first, even though it should have gone to second, the runner held, so that was good."
Max has now had ten at-bats. His stat line is below.
Runs Scored: 2
note: I'm going to start posting these only once a week, as opposed to after every game. There's just too many, and I don't want to clog the FanPost section. So, there will be another Next Generation post a week from Saturday.
