All I'm hoping for is 4 semi-decent innings out of Wells
If he can deliver upon that then he will have done what should reasonably be the expectation placed on his head.
The window for winning a World Series may have waned.
The Cubs really need him to go at least 5.
This isn’t spring training any more.

I'm calling him to go
5.2, with three Ks and 3 ERs.

Thanks for the preview.
Wells’ minor leagues numbers do look pretty solid, so I can see why the Cubs brought him up. I’m glad to see him get an early-season opportunity but will keep my expectations very guarded. He’s obviously going to be facing some pretty fearsome hitters. It would definitely be nice if he could go five innings and then perhaps Patton could go two beyond that. I’m not sure what Lou could/will do from there – given that Heilman, Marmol and Gregg pitched last night, I assume Cotts and Guzman will be in the mix.
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.
Good point about Angel
He is a likely guy to go a couple, and we know Patton can do that, too. I’m looking forward to seeing Randy pitch tonight, just throw strikes, man!
