ligament damage sucks, its like a rubber band, and spereated or torn ligament damage would be like stretching the hell out of a rubber band, it never returns like normal

Its actually better to have a cleanly broken bone than a ligament tear.
If Kerry had broken his elbow in 1999 and not torn the UCL he would not have been out a year.

Cubs are 2-4 in 1-run games so far
This HAS to improve, especially if the Cubs expect to beat the other contenders in the league.
