The Chicago Sports Landscape
Can anyone remember a better time to be a Chicago sports fan than right now?
The Cubs are on their way to what should be a playoff season again.
The Blackhawks won their first round and are tied in the 2nd round and are a young and upcoming promising team.
The Bulls were competitive in the first round and have one of the most exciting young stars this city has ever seen.
Northwestern football is coming off a good season and has a bright young coach in Pat Fitzgerald. I know NU is really in Evanston.
Illinois has one of the best recruiting classes in basketball in years (state school I know).
And I heard somewhere the Bears finally have a Quarterback. I think his name is Jay or something like that.

You forgot mention of the White Sox. Dr. Crawdad is not impressed.

Outside of Mark Buerhle
and maybe Dye and Pierzynski, I’m not really impressed either.

I live in MN
and have been telling everyone I know how exciting it is to be a Chicago sports fan right now. I was on sports overload (just ask my wife) the last few weeks trying to keep track of the Bulls-Celtics series, the Blackhawks, and the Cubs. It’s good to be a Chicago sports fan right now.

Fire
And I like them too. Another bright spot.
Jay is our Quarterback. I REPEAT JAY IS OUR QUARTERBACK. Did I mention we have a Quarterback who happens to be named Jay?.

Agree
But we have one we can build around.
I think the problem is you can make an argument Chicago’s best wide receiver is on the Cubs.
