31print

On May 3 the Cubs retired #31 for Maddux and Jenkins, and the giveaway that day was a 11x14 poster combining the artwork created by artist John Hanley. On the air, Len Kasper said that the same print would be given away on May 16th at Best Buy, but I couldn't find any other details about this giveaway--hours, locations, # of posters, etc. I DO want to get one of these posters--at BEST BUY on the 16th, for free--and I thought some of you BCB'ers would too, so does anyone else have more info on it? Thanks!

that's a different version

than the one that was given away at the ballpark/to be given @ Best Buy. The one you linked to is a limited edition 18×24 $150 print, and the other is a 11×14 mini-poster, and is free. I really like the artwork, but can’t afford $150 for this.

He also has a book called “Classic Cubs” that just came out recently that features his paintings as well. I went to meet him at a local book signing for it where I recognized that he was someone I went to art school with over 20 years ago. Small world.

Poor portrait of Madux
