unintentional

intentional, maybe.

I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. When they win the division, and then get swept in the division series. When they get no-hitters and when they blow no-hitters. And some day, when they go all the way and get those rings. This is the kind of fan I am.

I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. I think you manage by the save rule too much.

This is a circumstance where 1 ER loses the game for you. If you manage with one of your best relievers tied to the bench, you are hurting your chances to win.

Not so... A lot of managers don't use their closer until a close situation on the road.

Unless it gets to be desperation like Sunday… Now who throws to get a save. Most likely someone who doesn’t have that experience. You are hurting your chances to win by trotting someone out there that hasn’t had the pressure of winning a one run game.

I don't know what the words you typed are intended to mean.

But if Blum gets a lot of big hits against us… and doesn’t hit all that well over the course of his career, I start to wonder… do you treat him like the mediocre hitter he is, or do we treat him like a guy that beats us a lot.

And taken over the course of the last few years, we’ve had better than average pitching… so that excuse is invalid.
