Just checked.
There are decent pairs available for both days. In addition, there are singles available for Tuesday night.

I've found that.....
you can always pick up premium tix for any games 3 or 4 days in advance. I attended the fri, sat games of the 2nd cards series by picking up infield box tix behind home plate on the cubs site the tuesday before, and I was even able to pick up tix for game 5 of last year’s playoffs b/c they were released on the website. I’m guessing the cubs reserve these seats for VIPs and their premium tic agency but they never use/sell them. Heck, I picked up sets of 4 for all 3 sox games right before this post (tues – 2nd row upper deck in sec 427, wed – 4 bleacher (could have gotten up to 10 if you wanted to), and thurs – sec 420 (upper deck right behind home plate), row 4). It’s weird b/c Sox games were the first to sell out when tix went on sale in feb and I didn’t have a chance by the time I got on at 11 am. I feel like as long as you don’t mind, or can afford, paying face value (100-60) for good tix you can always pickup these tix 3 to 5 days before whatever game you want if you watch carefully. Can anyone explain this weird abnormality besides my theory that these are vip tix that the cubs didn’t use or couldn’t sell through their premium ticket agency so they release these tix on cubs.com the week before the game. Is this just a dirty little secret that diehards (you bcb readers) know about but keep it to themselves?

The tickets released a few days before the game...
… are, indeed, some of the tix they couldn’t sell through their premium ticket agency, so they release them on cubs.com (or at the box office).
Others, the ones you find released the day before the game, are tickets held back for players and employees — if not claimed by a certain time, they are released for sale.

Actually,
I had some conversations with a few of my favorite brokers last week about this. Even the second hand action for Sox/Cubs is weak. I think you’ll find this is more the premium office having overplayed demand than anything else.

This is wrong in so many ways
I am able to buy 24 bleacher tickets for Wednesday’s Sox game that’s been “sold out” for months. Ha!
The Cubs aren’t doing well and the economy what it is means the Cubs toss what they can’t scalp back to the streets.
Had I been able to buy Sox tickets in February, I’d be spending the entire week in Chicago instead of making plans for just the weekend.
As it is now, I have four bleacher seats for Sunday’s Indians game that no one wants (or want it for far below face value).

24 bleacher tickets?
The most I could pull was four.

Just pulled up 18 + 4 + 4 again
I’m not buying these. I’m just seeing what I can pull.

Im going tomorrow night...
my second cubs/sox game and luckily the games won the first one…………hopefully they win tomorrow too because it would be devastating to watch the sox win in person.
