I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. When they win the division, and then get swept in the division series. When they get no-hitters and when they blow no-hitters. And some day, when they go all the way and get those rings. This is the kind of fan I am.

On the bright side, Indians are still ahead of the Brewers, 2-1, bottom of 4th.

Somebody from the Indians hit a home run… can’t quite remember who it was… but it was his 13th of the year… and his 47th RBI…. and he’s now hitting .282… hmm….

We sure can

I was all about acquiring a left handed bat and using DeRosa’s money to do so. But now it is slowly becoming evident that DeRosa may be in his prime and last year was not a fluke. The guy is on pace for BIG numbers this year. We need him back. Heck, play him at SS when Rami comes back.

Does anyone think we would actually make a move for him?

don't count your silver linings before they're mined just yet...

WGN has all the games for the series, as does CSN. They’re just alternating the announcing teams.

Len & Bob were on WGN tonight and scheduled for CSN tomorrow and back to WGN for Thursday. So if they stick to their original schedule, WGN will have the White Sox announcers. Insert your own joke here…

All clear out in Wheaton

I think it will be another hour until its stops raining around Wrigley/Lakeview area. I really do not see why they couldn’t start it at 9:30 and push back the game tomorrow

by PieFan08 on Jun 16, 2009 7:34 PM CDT reply actions

VERY surprised they didn't keep the viewing audience in suspense

and sell all the beer (uh-huh) concessions they could for about 90 minutes to 2 hours…that’s what less classy organizations do; however, those are prolly the ones that never sell out…and the cubs don’t really need to worry about that

Seems like there have been a lot of games like that

ppd. until the second half. That’s good for the Cubs, even though it will result in fewer days off.

by Not Bruce Froemming on Jun 16, 2009 10:06 PM CDT up reply actions

Dumb call!

The sky cleared by 9pm, now the Cubs will either have to sacrifice a day off when they’ll need one or play a doubleheader. FWIW I’ll lose all respect for the Hall of Fame if they let players in who are both liars and cheats. If they let Bonds* or Sosa* in why not Pete Rose? All he did was gamble and lie.

by eamus-catuli on Jun 16, 2009 10:22 PM CDT reply actions

Too bad he didn’t have enough respect for the game not to gamble and lie.
