Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Need a subscription to see but picked this out:

As for what these teams should do... the Cubs should sit tight and enjoy the recent uptick in offense from Derrek Lee and Geovany Soto. It looks like tonight Lou found himself with Soriano playing some second base. I like that kind of creativity. Now, if he could just move Soriano down out of the leadoff spot in the batting order, that would truly be something.

Has anyone else heard of this from any other sources? Would definitely shock me. I can already feel myself cringe.

No, I don't think this means Soriano plays 2B "tonight".

I think it refers to the game he played an inning there last homestand, which is probably when that roundtable discussion happened.

That's what I was hoping

Just wanted to see if any of you guys had heard anything more substantial.

Well, assuming Gordo isn't on furlough tonight...

…he should be tweeting the starting lineup later this afternoon.

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

Gordo had an article in today's Sun-Times.

I suspect he’ll be there.

He is a 2nd basemen

He played 2nd for the Yankees and the Rangers. I think they should of moved him to second along time ago since its his natural position. The nationals moved him to left and when he went to the cubs he stayed their.

Well, if you want to get technical...

… Soriano signed as a shortstop. Why not move him there?

I would be careful what we tempt Alfonso with

Because he would be all for that. I remember an article earlier this season where he said he would be happy to play second or short if needed.

Just say no to players named Aaron on the Cubs.

Alfonso Soriano at shortstop.

I’m pretty sure that would send Bob Brenly to the emergency room.

o.0

I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. When they win the division, and then get swept in the division series. When they get no-hitters and when they blow no-hitters. And some day, when they go all the way and get those rings. This is the kind of fan I am.
