If anything..

…perhaps GM-for-life Hendry will have to re-learn what he once learned and then un-learned about offense.

His default position is fine: Most of what happens out there is decided by pitching. Hard to argue against that.

Unfortunately, as we’re seeing this year, pitching alone can’t do it all. He never seems to be able to keep that knowledge learned. It’s like teaching him that trying to catch lightning in a bottle ISN’T a good Plan A, or that players with bad health and production histories tend to have bad health and production when they get here. He just can’t be relied on to retain said knowledge.

Oh well, at least there’s some sense of urgency coming out of the front office right now…………………………oh, wait,…………….nevermind.

no, of course not.

I’m here supporting my team. When’s the last time I said the team was going to the playoffs? I say “soriano needs to get out of his slump.” I say “Miles is playing very badly.” I say “they need to start hitting better.”

What I DON’T say is “game over” in the TOP OF THE FREAKIN’ SECOND INNING.

YOU do that.

It’s June 17th. There’s three and a half months of baseball left. I don’t know what’s going to happen. You don’t know what’s going to happen. They could go on a run and win 20 games in a row. We all know Sori could go on a hot streak. We all know Bradley has the numbers to get a lot of hits. Or, they could lose 100 games this season, if they can’t work their way out of the slump.

The difference is, I hope for our guys to win and YOU DO NOT.

That’s not me taking it personally. That’s the damn FACTS.

You say you’re a cubs fan, but CUBS FANS WANT THEIR TEAM TO WIN. They ROOT FOR THEIR TEAM.

I’ve yet to see a post where you do that. So, no. I do not do exactly what you’re being asked by me not to do.

I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. Does it matter?

I am a Cub fan. Believe it or not. But either way, it doesn’t really matter why or when I’m here. I don’t call anyone names, I don’t piss anyone off by trolling. My analysis of this team, which has been spot on, might not be enjoyed by all, but I think that is part of the “good and bad” this site offers.

So you may say they have a chance, I may say they don’t. At the end of the day, I still have not read a logical reason why differing opinions, presented on this forum, can achieve such an immediate and harsh reaction out of some. I just don’t get it.

How about our starting pitching, that is pretty good? Eh? And if(pretty big IF) our offense comes alive then we can be competetive. I think we just expect last year to happen again, and they are def not last year’s team.

let’s get some runs now.

I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. When they win the division, and then get swept in the division series. When they get no-hitters and when they blow no-hitters. And some day, when they go all the way and get those rings. This is the kind of fan I am.

All Lou's fault

How many times have we seen this team’s inability to execute a play? Soto needs to be yelling at Guzman what to do. He is still sitting behind the plate with his thumb up you know where.

This team is just terrible fundamentally. That is Lou’s fault.

and it's especially frustrating since Lou claimed

the team was going to “get back to fundamentals” when he came to town.

how

very lucky they are to get out of that mess with only 1 given up.

At some point, this team is going to have a big come-from-behind win and wake up ~ I just worry it won’t be until August, and by then it won’t matter.

Most of the players have no nuts in the sack

So is Von Joshua helping our hitting?

I think not. I think we need a new manager, but that’s just my humble opinion.

dood

TWO DAYS. Von Joshua has been with the big league club for TWO DAYS.

Unbelievable.

Doesn't hurt to try....

….especially if you’re not really asking for anything in return — just take the contract.
