Chicago Cubs Baseball is

ON THE AIR!

I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. When they win the division, and then get swept in the division series. When they get no-hitters and when they blow no-hitters. And some day, when they go all the way and get those rings. This is the kind of fan I am.

No hitter. I’m the first to predict it.

Hot damn... iPhone MLB At Bat Update...

Scheduled cubs games:

Thursday 6/18 vs Sox
Friday 6/19 vs Indians
Saturday 6/20 vs Indians
Monday 6/22 vs Braves

At what point is enough enough

GET HIM out of the leadoff hole. When he is hitting .290 he is a liability at that spot, when he is hitting .225, its unconscionable.

by Ryanocm1 on Jun 17, 2009 1:34 PM CDT reply actions

Fair enough

but he is certainly not the prototypical leadoff hitter with a high on-base percentage I guess is what Im going for. At .290 I guess I shouldnt say he is a liability at leadoff, but I still dont think thats his optimal spot.

by Ryanocm1 on Jun 17, 2009 1:36 PM CDT up reply actions

Why? So he can hit .100 in the 3-4-5 holes?

Leadoff is the only place he has any proven record of success. What he needs is a series off to put his head back together.

Brutal

Unless Soriano figures out he’s going to have to change his approach at the plate, he’s going to continue to be an albatross for this club. Right now, his AB’s are a joke. You don’t have to throw strikes to him and this fictional "hot streak’ that some believe is right around the corner gets further and further away with every AB. Right now, he’s not even a legitimate offensive threat and taking into consideration his frequent refusal to hustle, he’s a huge, huge liability all the way around for this team. Hopefully Von Joshua can get through to him because it’s pretty clear that he’s not willing to correct this on his own.

Who needs a stinkin' tag line? What are they for anyway?

big Soto

!

I have nothing funny or creative to write.

at what point should lou start putting on the squeeze?

i mean, we just can’t seem to bring a run home from third with less than 2 outs.

Santo is fed up with these losers

Now it’s all of them. You have to make contact in that position! Geezus!!

5-3 force out

Brutal approaches at the plate. This is NOT the same team as last year…even though the names on the jerseys are the same. That 2008 team knew how to work a count.

I have nothing funny or creative to write.

Next time anybody gets the urge to say Reed Johnson is anything more than a 4th or 5th outfielder,

stop yourself and think of these last two ABs.
