Everyone is a suspect
So what that Sammy Sosa came out as a steroid cheat I think that he was the one of best player in a steroid era. Yes the other players in that era who did not use steroids are the ones hurt on this, but professional sports has always been that competitors will try to get a competitive advantage over their opponents by any way that the rules permit. There was no rules on testing these athletes , so the players were going to push this rule to their advantage. If the players who did not use have a grievance that their legacy is tarnished by everyone during that era being suspect of steroids they should have been working with the Baseball Union to ensure adequate testing became mandatory well before all these numbers became so inflated. So really the one to blame is everyone in the sport. The fans, the media, the owners, and the players who did nothing to question these inflated numbers or did not follow up on a rumor they heard on this issue. Not just Sammy... He was just a byproduct of the time, and if anyone has a problem with him they should have said something back then. I think that everyone is a suspect of steroids and it will remain that way until testing becomes sufficient enough to make me think otherwise.

Is tired. Put it to rest already. geeeeez. It’s talked about every single day on blogs, message boards, cable tv, among friends.
I sit at home after the Cubs lose and wanna pound sand but I know I live in a state without that kinda land. I know in my heart Sori isn't a guess hitting hack and that Dero will never be back. Pitching is King, some do say and hopefully Aaron Miles doesn't play in a Cub uniform another day. By October this I know, to the playoffs we are for sure to go. Go Cubbies!!

You somehow missed the FOUR other discussion threads on this topic?
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.
This should have been a comment under one of the other posts.

how would we tell?
I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. When they win the division, and then get swept in the division series. When they get no-hitters and when they blow no-hitters. And some day, when they go all the way and get those rings. This is the kind of fan I am.
