Cubs will struggle to get to the 81 win mark this season. This is not a not a good ballclub, period. $136 million right down the crapper. And to think only 5 1/2 more years of Alfonso Soriano on the books.

Solution

Then fix it. Nobody will bitch if they fixed this mess they’ve created. But to bank on blind faith and the return of a guy that just might come back as a shell of himself is nonsense. That’s all I’m asking…fix this damn mess because right now, it’s hopeless.

Who needs a stinkin' tag line? What are they for anyway?

by krummy12 on Jun 19, 2009 3:34 PM CDT up reply actions

Who is he?

Soriano? He’s part of the problem, not the solution. Hendry is supposed to fix this and because of what he’s done, his hands are now tied. Unless they figure out this hilarity of an offense is inadequate at best, this season is already down the drain.

Who needs a stinkin' tag line? What are they for anyway?

by krummy12 on Jun 19, 2009 3:36 PM CDT up reply actions

Well I agree

Its gotten pretty ugly. And I’m not looking through bright rose colored glasses. But BM, has been repeating the same thing for along time. At this point we should just post it on the sidebar for any newbies, because we all have heard it before.

by StevenABQ on Jun 19, 2009 3:35 PM CDT up reply actions

And

People have probably seen the same out of my commentary and are tired of it. But it is amusing to think that one comeback win all of a sudden is being trumpeted as a spring board to continued success. That’s just nonsense. This team is flawed…majorly. And unless a great deal of it is turned over, this entire season is a wash. I said they woudl be up to 6 1//2 games out by the weekend…and people scoffed at that notion. But quite frankly, that is exactly what may be staring this club in the face. The point is, Hendry better do something….anything….to hold this group accountable for their poor play. If he doesn’t, he’s out of a job.

Who needs a stinkin' tag line? What are they for anyway?

I love how

everyone is blaming harden… but Reed should have caught that ball! It was an easy play that should have been scored an error. The pitch to Shoppach was right down the middle above the knees and called ball four. No runs should have scored that inning. Granted the 3rd innning was bad, but it should only be 3-0.

That’s why I asked for a pitcher to step and shut a team down! Is that too hard figure out? The pitching is going to have to win some games for us if you expect to stay in it. Getting decent pitching is great if you score runs, we need great ptiching right now because this team isn’t going to just start scoring 4-5 runs a game.
