If he comes cheap and will start in the bullpen,
the Cubs could use him.
That, or he’s back as a starter and Harden can be flipped for a real third baseman who can play some outfield.
if this was still new to me, i wouldn't understand
Do you really trust Pedro that much?
He isn’t what he used to be. Period. I don’t want him at all.

I have no idea what he has left.
I’m hoping Hendry/Kenny are beyond signing an over the hill name player to shut us fans up.
If they sign him, he better have something we’re not aware of, but I can only imagine the Cubs flirting with him if there is another related move.

From a purely big name standpoint
I think it would be cool to see Pedro in a Cubs uni, despite his declined skills. If we get him, I’ll say cool, if we don’t I’ll say cool. Pedro would just be a luxury.
Just say no to players named Aaron on the Cubs.
Personally, I despise big name signings.
There is almost always more money spent on a fading name than spending the same dough on a guy producing the same stats with upside. That said, the upside guys aren’t free agents on 6/19.

Thats the key though
your last sentence. He’s a smart enough pitcher to get by w/o a power fastball anymore, so Id say theres upside, but the question would be how much and in what role could it be tapped?
Okay, just so I understand it... in your wildest fantasy, you are in hell. And you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.
Depends on the cost.
If he’s really cheap, like a million or so, do it. It’s worth it. Otherwise, use the money on someone who’s much more of a sure thing to actually contribute.
or a fifteenth or 22nd round reach
in the amateur draft
i didn't mean reach
as far as lacking ability, but a guy heading for a scholarship at a big school.
