He kinda looked like a leadoff hitter there for a second...

Now a steal would really make him look like a leadoff

he had a few good at bats
but a lot of dinks and dunks. Seems to me he is not that good of a left handed hitter. How Jim Hendry didnt know that or chose to overlook it is disturbing all things considered
before you make baseless accusations
take a look at his splits.
um
i know his splits have always historically worse as a left handed hitter. It has been discussed before.
In addition, I’ve seen him. He is a better right handed hitter.

Brain Cells?
“He’s not that good of a left handed hitter”
His career OPS as a lefty is above average, and better than Ryan Theriot’s as a righty. But nah, he’s not that good. SMH…
good, lets get into insults
you asked if I have seen his splits. I have. He is a better right handed hitter. Clearly better.
Now, he is not a terrible left handed hitter. But he is not a good one. Comparing him to a light hitting shortstop isnt fair.
Are you kidding me?
You’ve seen him? You honestly think that means anything? Forgive me if I don’t trust you’re no doubt incredible scouts eye.

Your Quote was..
He’s not that good of a left handed hitter
Please explain to me how a .795 ops isn’t very good.
A .268 average
seems fairly mediocre. But Ill concede, maybe a bad choice of words. He is an adequate lefty hitter but given our goal was to sign a lefty bat, that seems an odd choice.

not necessarily slumping
but hasnt done anything to suggest he is “hot”

So is your sample size just based on games he hit in recently, or his season so far?

if so, I dont think Im off base to suggest he is stuggling as a lefty and many of his hits in the last couple of week have been dinks and dunks. Hasnt hit a homerun in over a month i believe.
