The organization isn’t going to get rid of him. He’s been ineffective as a hitter, and inadequate as a fielder (probably because of injury). If injury is the only way to keep him out of the lineup, then so be it.

Oddly enough
I have no memory of 69. I think I became a fan the NEXT year. Nope had the Mets of the late 70s and 80s. I did not move to NYC till 90 but I hated them plenty by them. One of my highlights as a fan was the 84 double header sweep. Featured a bench clearing brawl. I loved it. Turning point for the Cubs that year or at least it kind of put the Mets in their place/

It'll
be interesting to see how Johnson going on the DL affects Dome. You figure he’ll be there everyday, without another option for center. If he struggles, I wonder if Lou hands the position to RJ for good when he returns.

Freel can play center
Not that I want him to, but he can. Milton could too if Lou wanted to give BCB a heart attack
Just say no to players named Aaron on the Cubs.
Yeah
I guess Freel is an option. But sweet moses, Milton in center??

I wouldn’t be opposed to the Cubs beginning to conquer things.

he just lives in his own world. When he’s not hitting, no matter how or what the team is doing, he just sits on the bench and sulks. He is an incredibly self-absorbed player, and that makes his stupid and lazy, oftentimes both, frequently.
