He hasn't?
I think his manager in Cleveland would beg to differ.

she's talking about this part
The St. Petersburg Times reported on its Web site on Saturday that Phillies reliever J.C. Romero grabbed and shoved 25-year-old fan Robert Eaton after he made two comments about steroids.
I don’t think Milton has had any physical contact.
I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. When they win the division, and then get swept in the division series. When they get no-hitters and when they blow no-hitters. And some day, when they go all the way and get those rings. This is the kind of fan I am.

He would have
if he hadn’t blown his ACL going after that ump in LA. As first responder said, not yet. The season is young after all.

As I said earlier
Padres manager Bud Black caused the injury when he threw Bradley to the ground, (to get him away from the umpire) who then fell awkwardly.
Please try to get your facts straight. Bradley could have argued, been tossed, and there would have been no injury. Black’s efforts to keep Bradley from getting tossed went over the top.
The incident happened in San Diego’s Petco Park. Vet your ‘facts,’ please.

It was a freak event in many ways
But there was no justification for what the umpire said and then he lied about it. If the first base coach and probably lip readers had not backed him up.

I realize that that's not exactly befitting a baseball player...
But outside of that context, am the only one who thinks that that fan sounds like a jerkoff who mouthed off too much?
If you go up to a guy and accuse him and taunt him for some legal trouble he’s been in that is (potentially) ruining his career, is it hard to believe that maybe he’ll react not so kindly to it?
I realize that we live in the hyper-legal, “playgrounds so safe they aren’t fun,” kind of America, but Romero’s reaction seems entirely understandable to me. If someone did that to me, I’m not sure I wouldn’t have socked him in the jaw. (And I bet that 25 years ago, most people would’ve felt the same way).
The reason this doesn’t fly for a professional baseball player I think is because it’s bad PR with fans. But PR and “what is right” don’t always intersect.
But maybe that’s just me…

Fan
was out of bounds. But, when players make more in a year than most fans make in a lifetime, they better develop a thick skin and bad ears.
No, a player should never confront a fan. It’s a no win situation. You beat him up? You get suspended. He beats you up? You get suspended and maybe injured or worse.

Didnt....
Milton Bradley have an altercation with a fan in the stands while he was with the Dodgers? Wasnt that the incident if memory serves me involved someone throwing a chair?

No that was a really crazy guy
A fan through a plastic bottle at Bradley during a game at Dodger Stadium in 2004. He picked it up went over to the stands and threw to the ground in the stands. Needless to say he was ejected . I forget the guy who threw the chair but I am pretty sure it was a pitcher for the Angels.

The pitcher who threw the chair was Frank Francisco, then pitching for Texas.

To clarify my earlier post..............
as I recall Bradley did have an altercation in Cleveland….with his manager, I believe Eric Wedge, that let to Bradley choking Wedge. So if you mean Bradley at least never had an altercatiion with a fan…then that may be true as I can’t say if he has or hasn’t. But, if you’re talking about him having a phyiscal altercation in a baseball related situation then I would have to say “yes, he has.” As I recall that lead to his trade to LA.

Nope
Milton and Wedge only exchanged nasty words

it was someone else who choked their manager.
wasn’t that a basketball player?
You wanna know someone who had a physical altercation with their manager? Ted Lilly.

That's what blows my mind about the Bradley thing
People half-remember these incidents with him, and they fill in all the blanks in their memory with violence.
He hasn’t had any violent incidents on the field. Ever.

Yes it was Latrell Sprewell who choked P.J Carlisimo
Those two deserved each other. Never let it be said that attacking a coach or GM is an impediment to your playing. The A’s gave
Shawn Chacon a minor league deal the other week. If I were Billy Bean I might watch my back.

That's interesting
It’s obvious that Romero is trying to put that behind him. Then this happens.
