A big cherry on Jim Hendry's crap sundae

He spent all winter working on it, but this is just the cherry on top. My only consolation is that Hendry didn’t trade for DeRosa and give up Wells, Marshall, and Vitters to get him.

I just read this on my cell phone

And after today’s loss… I just don’t know anymore. I don’t know what to think… it’s like and ex-girlfriend suddenly dating the kid that made fun of you through high school… so uncool. So disappointed.

We better get Matt Holiday…

I would love Holiday

but it seems that one of our major contracts in the corner outfield positions would have to go down with season ending injuries for that to happen. Oh, and the sale finally going through would help that.

The summation of my statement: Don’t hold your breath

In all my years as a sports fan

I have never seen so much angst over any Chicago player that was traded away. Even when Greg Maddux signed with the Braves, there wasn’t this much outcry. Perhaps the lack of sports radio and blogs tempered the anger in that era.

Losing Lou Brock and Bill Madlock were far worse losses for the Cubs than the loss of St. De Rosa.

Preach it, brother

Exactly three of the guys I pointed out in a post on Stone’s DeRo trade thread.

I now officially hate Jim Hendry

If I see him on the side of the road with a flat tire, I’m not pulling over and helping him.

wow thats a little harsh dont you think i mean he could get eaten by bears

I don't mind that DeRosa was traded

I mind that the team didn’t get better. That is why I refer to Hendry’s big crap sundae for the offseason. I don’t think one of his moves made the team better.

nothing worse than...

tears mixed with vomit. just not right to see DeRo in a Cards jersey.
