If we were .500 on the road we would be in first place.
There have been so many things going on no one has mentioned the simple fact that if we were .500 on the road we would have a 1.5 game lead in the central. Without any trades, this is one area we have to improve upon.

Isn't that the goal for every team?
.500 on the road and .667 at home equals 41 road wins and 55 at home equals 96 wins.

Sure it is
there has been so much said about this team but the one thing no one has mentioned is our road record. That’s the first thing we have to shore up to compete in the central.
This is only the beginning....Lou Pinella end of '07 season and Chicago Transit Authority (the band when they were really good).
Yeah, more wins and we'd be in first place....

BRRRRRILLIANT!
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

We are much better at home
And if I’m correct, we’re playing the Brewers for 4 games at home.
I’ll tell you what. if we lose 3 of 4, I’ll also go on the Cubs suck bandwagon. But until that series happens, I for one will wait out and see how we do.
Yeah, yeah.
And if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. For me, that 0-6 road trip back in May – conveniently sandwiched between two home losses – was the first true symptom that something was very, very wrong with this team.
