I didn't preview before posting..

For an anxious second, I was worried I’d fumbled the snap there.

by bheidge on Jun 4, 2009 7:10 PM CDT up reply actions

That is always the dilemma...

isn’t it? Maybe if I just act like I’m supposed to be here, no one will notice.

by CubsWin!Oregon on Jun 4, 2009 7:11 PM CDT up reply actions

yeah....

let me know how that works out for you. You could always go over to the Brewers game thread. They are a bunch of pansies over there

by bheidge on Jun 4, 2009 7:14 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah, but if I did that...

I’d have to punch myself in the face for choosing to listen to people talk about how great Ryan Braun is…

That is one the worst things about being on the East Coast.

The timing for sports sucks. I hate going to bed before I know the final scores of west coast games. Not to mention in football season, on the west coast games are starting right when you wake up in the morning…

I usually try

.. to stumble out of bed and to the computer at 6 or 6:30am to catch the end of day games, but it’s winter here and bed is so cozy sometimes.. lol

by CubFanInCanberra (9387milesfromWrigley) on Jun 4, 2009 7:24 PM CDT up reply actions

I could see that being rough.

When I was in the Middle East last year, I was watching the Cubs on ESPN at bizarre hours like that too. It’s something you never really get used to…

by CubsWin!Oregon on Jun 4, 2009 7:19 PM CDT up reply actions

TV coverage of the Cubs

.. has been terrible this year here. Only been like 3 Cubs games on the version of ESPN that we get here in Australia and none at all on FoxSports… :(

I love my friends

For those of you who watch what you eat , here’s the final word on nutrition and health. It’s a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Cubs Fan .

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Cubs Fan .

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Cubs Fan .

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Cubs Fan .

5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Cubs Fan .

CONCLUSION

Eat and drink what you like. Being a Cubs Fan is apparently what kills you

just said that they’ve heard zero news from either ballclub’s media relations people about when or if the game is gonna go….
