I think MLB teams

look at their schedules and decide to bring up a new pitcher and give him his first start when they face the Cubs.
I realize Volquez went on the DL but I still think the Reds planned to give Maloney a start against the Cubs regardless.

I could fill a few overflow threads on how unfair life is. As well as things we should do before it’s too late. But watching the Cubs D is depressing enough. No need to pile on.

On the plus side, I did get to experience not one but two earthquakes – 4.7 and 4.0. That was kinda neat.

with this offense

we are going to end up with 5 starting pitchers with sub 3.50 ERAs and .500 records. I mean even the worst offenses accidentally score a run here and there. I believe the drought of how many games we have gone without hitting a HR with a man on base is at 20. I have to guess we are approaching some sort of ML record

I actually got online last year.

Though I really didn’t start posting until early this year. I followed a game against Washington last year. And you’re right, I haven’t seen lohroffc yet either.
