The comments are brilliant

Some of them passive-aggressive, most of them just plain aggressive :)

Jackie likes the smell of cut grass, he used to play ball on Saturdays, Playin in the sun...

Twitter really is awful

Who the hell cares if Peavy is at Albertson’s? Ugh.

Depends on how you use it.

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

This sounds...

like a man at wit’s end over the trade rumors. I almost feel for him, even if he doesn’t like bloggers.

“I play a professional sport for a living, I got three kids and a family to take care of, I’m not on the internet, I can promise you that.” “I don’t have the time or the will to want to do anything like that. I don’t want to sit down on a daily basis and write a blog! I’m sorry”

Doesn’t he know that he’s not allowed to invoke his family or his needs? He’s a baseball player, right Worf? Everything he does is investigated and judged by the fans.

I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. When they win the division, and then get swept in the division series. When they get no-hitters and when they blow no-hitters. And some day, when they go all the way and get those rings. This is the kind of fan I am.

The comments are pretty hilarious over there on their site

And they seem pretty happy with allowing him to be a Cub.. haha, hopefully the organization feels the same way, as long as we dont get ride of whatever depth we may have

Don't assault me and I won't assault you, because you don't know what I will, or won't, do. I'm going to end it with that. - Milton Bradley 2003 to Paul Lo Duca
