7th inning in a normal 9 inning game, so it seems to me that you don’t start the clock on the second 7th inning stretch until the 10th.

Saw the opening series in AZ in 2005
and the two playoff games in 2007. 1-4.
I like the ballpark and the area around it, but that place is a house of horrors for the Cubs.

The BOB or Chase
is actually a nice place to watch a game when the roof is open and the outfield “doors” are also open. It’s brezzy and nice. When it’s buttoned up, I hate it. echoes all over and it feels like you’re in a warehouse.
I love hanging out at Alice Cooper’s bar and Jackson’s on Third. And now the light rail goes right to it, so I can save some $ and have that last beer without worrying lol

Went to Cooperstown and Jackson's
Liked ‘em both. Also went to Dan Majerle’s place and like that as well. They were building the light rail when I was there in ‘07; I’ll bet that’s nice.

I used to take the Rock Island and the El
from Blue Island to get to Wrigley when we lived there and enjoyed it. My family were railroad people and I grew up around trains. I prefer to train it than drive. The light rail here has been a boon to Diamondback and Suns fans. The money I save on parking pays for 2 beers at High-Tops, just outside Chase. WIn-WIN, I say!

I take the El when I go to Wrigley
My folks live near the DesPlaines Avenue station on the Blue Line, so it’s a pretty easty trip.
My grandparents lived at 115th and Western, so whenever we wanted to go downtown, we’d take the Rock Island. In fact, my aunt still lives in that area and takes it to work every day.

As a kid I lived next to the commuter depot on 119th & Vincennes
and my Dad worked at the roundhouse at 123rd. My Mom and Aunt and Uncles worked in the office. We had RIRR stuff all over. I still collect it somewhat as a homage to them.

I probably would have worked for the Rock
if the entire Chicago Metro train system didn’t go Metra. My Uncle lost some vacation and pay when they consolidated. Also, guys got laid off because of redundancy. Like I said, I was planning on working for the railroad, kind of, as I progressed through high school. I also wanted to be a cop. Neither career transpired and I ended up in the fast food game for 10 years. But I digress. That’s a story for another time lol
Yes, those old stations were great. One of the many things I miss about Chicago. We used to hop on the train and go anywhere. My Dad used to take my brother and I to the roundhouse, that was cool. Climbing in the pit under a huge locomotive was scary, but riding the switch engines and caboose was awesome.

It's like that in all sports.
There always seems to be a ballpark in which your team just can not win in. Unfortunately for the Cubs, that ballpark appears to be Chase field.

It's weird how that is
and we have had some blowouts here, but if it’s not, we usually lose. The Dback fans really don’t like us, either.
Another nice thing about Chase is they have a Fatburger restaurant since last year. Great cheeseburgers. Yummy.

I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. When they play over their heads, and when they play under the gutter. When they win the division, and then get swept in the division series. When they get no-hitters and when they blow no-hitters. And some day, when they go all the way and get those rings. This is the kind of fan I am.

Not bad
Not as nice as Miller Park, IMHO, but it’ll do.
Plenty of Cubs fans there, especially recently. Last year, in the game Soriano hit three homers, there must have been 30,000 Cubs fans there. No joke.
Now that Miller is more 50-50 or even a few more Brewers fans, GABP has become “Wrigley Southeast.”
In general, I think Cincinnati is a cool city. If only for the chili.

Flying to Cincy is very expensive
I live about a 4-5-hour drive away and have a good friend who lives there, so for me the expense isn’t so bad.

No easy way to get there
You might be able to find cheap fares to Louisville, Indy, Dayton or Columbus, which all are an easy drive from Cincy.
