Hi Em.

It’s already ugly in the first thread. I didn’t post a jump because of it.

However,

It’s hard to be cheery with this level of play…

Let's go Cubbies!

First step to overtaking the division lead :)

3 runs in as many innings.

Pretty hit-or-miss today. He’s got a few K’s but also a few walks as well.

What has Harden's heater...

…registered on the gun?

I am usually not a big believer in over analyzing the radar gun, but Harden is one guy that seems to struggle when he doesn’t have that late zip on his fastball.

He's been a good pitcher for years

Kinda seems umlikely that batters figured him out all of a sudden. But who knows, baseball is a very fickle sport, a player can be great for two years and then off for a year or two and then back on top after that so who knows.

It happens. Pujols went to a small school. In football,

Tom Brady was taken in like the 5th or 6th round and may end up being one of the greatest ever.

Seriously speaking...

What are the chances of rich harden becoming somewhat of an ankiel? He’s athletic, and seems to be good with the bat…could get even better with more practice and coaching

by bilbosbuttons on Jul 10, 2009 3:19 PM CDT up reply actions

I think he looks pretty awkward at the plate...

That little compact swing of his won’t get him too far as an everyday position player. Ankiel was able to make the switch because he could hit with some pretty decent power.

He seems like the type who plays the game right and he would be one of the few that would surprise me if he got caught.
