What game does Fox catch Sunday?
Morning or night?
One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

I find this hard to believe.
One catcher on a major league roster for 3 weeks? You think that’s a good idea? I understand Jake Fox has experience catching, but has he done it recently?

ya but they are not as analytical as I would like. especially in closer games.
sometimes they do too much non baseball stuff for my liking. and I think a lot of that is len’s doing. because I have heard some of bob’s old stuff working with great PxP guys and he is really really good.

I've never heard Keith Moreland broadcast a game
Have you? I only ask because if this is his first game, keep an open mind. The guy was a pretty good player for us, as I’m sure you know if you’re older than 15, and it’d be fun to have him as a regular in the booth.
by Orval Overall on Jul 10, 2009 1:53 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Ron was a pretty good player for us too
and he’s attrocious
by WanderingWanderer on Jul 10, 2009 1:54 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Clearly sir, you are a fool
And I’m not continuing this discussion.
Well, ok, I will. Radio colormen are supposed to be excitable homers. Thats the whole point. Why? For one thing, because no one except the home team’s fans is in range to hear the radio broadcast, so the homerism plays to the audience. And second, because radio is flipping boring in the TV age, let alone the HDTV age.
Ron Santo is a gem. Your loss for not appreciating what he brings.

he's a horrible broadcaster
I don’t tune in to hear someone scream over the top of what’s actually going on, or get confused in the middle of one of his stories with tidbits and trivia that are always wrong
I liked Ron as a ballplayer, I think he’s a genuinely good guy, but he’s bar none one of the worst color men in broadcasting
