Am I the only

One who failed to see where Bradley was arguing?

"Do you want a bunch of duds walking around with their shoulders slumped and having no emotions, no feelings?" Bradley said. "I don’t think the fans want that. I think they want a guy who’s going to get into the game and feel a little bit. I’ve always said, ‘I don’t really play baseball, I feel it.’ "

Again

He was looking at his bat and walking to the dugout. He didn’t speak and didn’t look at the umpire. Just because the announcers say so doesn’t make it so.

Lazily walking back to the dugout

But not arguing.

"Do you want a bunch of duds walking around with their shoulders slumped and having no emotions, no feelings?" Bradley said. "I don’t think the fans want that. Fox did a game between the Cubs and Cardinals a few years ago,

And in said game, Daryle Ward hit a grand slam. They referred to it as a “Chicago-style salami” (as if that makes any sense).

The announcers for Fox in this game were also very pro-Cardinal. Does anyone know who called that game for Fox?

What I don't get

Why are baseball players so fragile? It is not an extremely physical/contact sport. The slightest bump and a player is out for two weeks. I watch college basketball and players get slammed to the hardwood, bounce up and run across the court. The play several games a week and do not wear pads. A baseball player sneezes and they are on the DL. It is so frustrating.

i think its the general stop/start nature of the game

you stretch before the game, but then you sit around, stand around and then have very powerful movements. you are bound to pull/tear/‘tweak’ something with that sort of movement. if players stretched more within the game, you could prevent a lot probably

Blake Hawksworth?

Not since Heathcliffe Slocumb has the upper crust rubbed shoulders with the Cubs like this.

Damn

He’s is sick behind the plate.

WTF are they talking about?

Joe Buck just apologized for missing part of Koyie Hill’s at-bat. Except it was Baker at the plate.
