Bradley strikes out and gets to first. but was very lucky cuz he did not run initially as he was arguing with the ump
LOL
I didnt think he was arguing
looked like he didnt know where the ball was.
Should we post a jump?

Am I the only
One who failed to see where Bradley was arguing?
"Do you want a bunch of duds walking around with their shoulders slumped and having no emotions, no feelings?" Bradley said. "I don’t think the fans want that. I think they want a guy who’s going to get into the game and feel a little bit. I’ve always said, ‘I don’t really play baseball, I feel it.’ "

Again
He was looking at his bat and walking to the dugout. He didn’t speak and didn’t look at the umpire. Just because the announcers say so doesn’t make it so.
"Do you want a bunch of duds walking around with their shoulders slumped and having no emotions, no feelings?" Bradley said. "I don’t think the fans want that. I think they want a guy who’s going to get into the game and feel a little bit. I’ve always said, ‘I don’t really play baseball, I feel it.’ "
Fox appears to be making things up, as usual.

Lazily walking back to the dugout
But not arguing.
"Do you want a bunch of duds walking around with their shoulders slumped and having no emotions, no feelings?" Bradley said. "I don’t think the fans want that. I think they want a guy who’s going to get into the game and feel a little bit. I’ve always said, ‘I don’t really play baseball, I feel it.’ "
Mcarvers an idiot
He didn’t show one sign of arguing the call…mcarvers trying to manufacture bullshit!!
Is McCarver a Cardinals fan, or does he just not like the Cubs?

Tomorrow...
they’re going to overlay a crown and scepter on TLR and refer to him as “your highness”.
I’m only sort of kidding. Because if it happened, I wouldn’t be surprised.
good base running
also a good play by the cardinals outfield backing up.
If this keeps up...
pretty soon he’ll be getting real live basehits and stuff.

Fox did a game between the Cubs and Cardinals a few years ago,
And in said game, Daryle Ward hit a grand slam. They referred to it as a “Chicago-style salami” (as if that makes any sense).
The announcers for Fox in this game were also very pro-Cardinal. Does anyone know who called that game for Fox?

What I don't get
Why are baseball players so fragile? It is not an extremely physical/contact sport. The slightest bump and a player is out for two weeks. I watch college basketball and players get slammed to the hardwood, bounce up and run across the court. The play several games a week and do not wear pads. A baseball player sneezes and they are on the DL. It is so frustrating.
-Charlemagne
"Cubs Win!" "Yes, Sir!" - Pat and Ron, June 12, 2008, Walk off HBP, bottom of the 11th
i think its the general stop/start nature of the game
you stretch before the game, but then you sit around, stand around and then have very powerful movements. you are bound to pull/tear/‘tweak’ something with that sort of movement. if players stretched more within the game, you could prevent a lot probably
So much stop and go
A lot of chance to (with apologies to Tim McC) tweak a muscle.
Also, a lot of baseball players have softball bodies.
"When you're going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill
I'll bite
1. They play almost every day.
2. When there is action it is from pretty much a dead stop to as fast as possible,er, as fast as possible.
3. Swinging uses some weird muscles most players don’t work out.
4. That ball is freakin’ hard
