Who is your starting 9?

Since the Cubs have a few days off, in honor of the All-Star game, if you had your pick of anyone in the league, who would be your starting 9? Mine is: 1. Ichiro Suzuki RF 2. Chase Utley 2B 3. Joe Mauer C 4. Albert Pujols 1B 5. Aramis Ramirez 3B 6. Hanley Ramirez SS 7. Ryan Braun LF 8. Torii Hunter CF 9. Tim Lincecum P I don't believe any of these picks really need to be defended, but let the debate begin.

Take your pick of the league.

A few differences

Give me Grady Sizemore over Hunter and Id take David Wright or A Fraud over Ramirez

Okay, just so I understand it... in your wildest fantasy, you are in hell. And you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.

By "anyone in the league"...

…it appears you mean “anyone in either league.”

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

I can't stand Manny

And he has more power than Kemp.

Playing today in MLB?

C – Yadier
1st – Pujols
2nd – Utley
3rd – Wright
SS – Reyes
RF – Crawford
CF – Sizemore
LF – Manny
P – Halladay
DH? – There is no DH in a starting 9

if this was still new to me, i wouldn't understand

Might be just as fun to list individual all time favorite starting 9.

Logic be damned and just players who made you happy, whether growing up or helped you win your fantasy team.

C – Carlton Fisk
1st – DLee/Ernie (I can’t decide)
2nd – Lou Whittaker (Why you ask)
SS – Alan Trammell (Because you can’t break up Trammell and Whittaker)
3B – Santo
RF – The Hawk
CF – Bernie Williams
LF – Sean Marshall (This week anyway), really Yaz
P – Kerry Wood

Not surprising I guess given my upbringing with Cubs & Tigers with a Bosock/White Sock and a Yankee.

if this was still new to me, i wouldn't understand

good call on Marshall

he has never made an error in LF

baseball is a game of outs......pop out, ground out, line out, pitch out, strike out, fly out, and Fox and Bud's favorite black out

My starting lineup...

If I could have ANY eight guys to go out and play right now???

Cat - Joe Mauer
3rd -
Evan Longoria
SS – Derek Jeter
2nd — Robinson Cano (the most underrated player in the game)
1st — Albert Pujols
LF - Ryan Braun
CF -
Carlos Beltran
RF — Nick Markakis

$136 million payroll for a .500 style ballclub. Good work Jim.

Robby Cano

Is very good and underrated but I don’t know that he’s better than Utley or Hill or even Kinsler.
