And this is why "this time it counts" is so incredibly dumb.
The hitter for the last place Orioles just drove in the go ahead run off of the pitcher from the last place Padres. Why two guys from last place teams are allowed to determine which team has HFA in the World Series is absurd.

Probably not
The principle of it is a different story.

It's stupid because these things come in streaks
There’s almost no point for NL fans to get excited about it.

Oh there's Bud Selig
How do you like this? The NL hasn’t had home field advantage in years because you got a bright idea.

…or walk and 4 high-and-tight ones, will the AL into 2nd & 3rd on defensive indifference, and glare Rivera into a balk.

Not the Cubs' Fault
Don’t boo the Cubs Cards fans, boo your boy for the error.

Can't really call it league superiority at this point
At this point, you have to wonder if the NL players realize this is for home field advantage.

because of an exhibition game played & managed under made-for-tv conditions?

I generally agree with that statement
When you get beyond the best teams in both leagues, the AL is stronger. HOWEVER, I do not think the All Star Game is proof of this.

Pujos makes a error that costs the game
and now the Cubs lose home field advantage in the World Series! It just seems wrong!
I love watching the Cubs during the season and dread watching them in the playoffs.

You know, the NFL manages to alternate home/away between AFC and NFC...

Get Rid of the ASG
Give all teams a much needed week off, and move the trade deadline up so that it happens during that time. Guys get to rest and get healthy and see their families…and the players get a break, too!
