You are the only other person i have met who has had shoulder issues in mexico. My first time dislocating it was there. My second surgery was pretty significant. hence all the crap on it.

But all the muscles around my scapula were torn and shredded (after 10 dislocations). Doubt mine was as significant as Rich’s but there was a ton of crap on my arm. It sucked.

I haven't had a single dislocation after the surgery
and that was in 1994. I have a horrible gash on my shoulder, and any kind of weather change gives me trouble, but it’s all good. Yours should be too.
