Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Cubs vs. Phillies at Citizens Bank Park 7/20-7/22

Since it's a few days away, I'll post this.

Who has tickets for the games in this series?

I'm going to the game on Monday night.

If anyone is going on Tuesday night, Green Day has a concert at the Wachovia Center.  Get there early because parking might be a mess.

It will interesting to see how the Cubs match up with the defending world champions. What are the pitching matchup going to look like for this series?

As I have posted...

… I will be at the Philly series. Thanks for the heads-up on parking for Tuesday night.

If anyone here wants to meet up in Philly, email me for my seat location.

As they're averaging 43K this year,

be prepared to stick around after the game. A bunch of us drove up from DC for a Saturday game late in the ’07 season. We had to hang out in the parking lot for over an hour after the game, as there was no way we were getting out before that. The parking lot traffic patterns leave much to be desired.

To kill the time, there is a McFadden’s pub built into the outside the stadium and a Holiday Inn with a bar within walking distance.

Interesting

I remember I think in ‘07 having pretty good luck but I think it’s because the game I went to rained almost all day.

Most importantly though, where’s the cheesesteak place I need to stop at?

by ak123 on Jul 18, 2009 8:24 AM CDT up reply actions

You're better off

Heading to Pat’s or Geno’s in South Philly or Jim’s on South Street and not getting one in the ballpark. The cheesesteak place in Ashburn Alley used to run by Pat’s, then it changed to Rick’s (owned by the cousin of the Pat’s owners. It’s now a Campos. I haven’t been to Campos but they aren’t known locally for their cheesesteaks.

If you want to try someting different, go to the Tony Luke’s and order a roast pork sandwich.

If possible from your hotel or wherever you're staying,

you can take the subway to the sports complex. It’s much quicker than parking. Its the Broad St./Orange Line- last stop is the stadiums, as they’re all south of the city

Yep...

I usually do that for basketball. I park at my friend’s condo downtown and take the train in. Highly recommended if you can do it.

I will be there

don’t know where I am sitting just going to pick up singles except for Monday when a friend is trying to snag 4 ( good luck). It will be a tough series.
