I was just doing the math. with thursday being off day. you do not need to pitch Hart until 28th if you want too.

So you let Hart go as deep as possible. You let him go until every last pitch in his arm is used up.

lazy question

anyone know the pitching matchups for philly?

by Allie on Jul 19, 2009 2:47 PM CDT reply actions

ya and I was just going to ask if anyone knows much about Rodrigo Lopez who Ted faces tomorrow.

Tuesday is now Joe Blanton vs Rich Harden. Blanton is pitching cuz of the postponement of the Phils game in Florida. and Wednesday is now Jamie Moyer vs Big Z. Cuz of the blanton move due to weather we miss Hamels who was originally supposed to match up vs big z on wedneday.

I think he was thought of more as a posession wide received in the NFL.

I know he’d probably be 2nd best on the Bears now. But that’s saying more about the steaming pile of crappy do in the Bears WR corps than about Smard.

Cutler was at Wrigley for a game when Jeff was on the major league roster. He threw him some passes for the heck of it and it supposedly looked sweet.

Cutler is just going to be so sweet. I’m not sure what a quarterback is though. Never seen one on the Bears.

QB rating wise, Rex’s high is lower than Cutler’s average.

Anyways, the beauty of Cutler will be that we shouldnt see any of those games where we were embarassed at the quarterbacking.

i just never fell for rex thats all. and after the super bowl all my colt fan friends have given me endless amounts of sh… er crap.

by Allie on Jul 19, 2009 3:15 PM CDT up reply actions

Rex did have some great games but also had awful games.

QB rating is not greatest tool for judging a QBs performance. I also think he had a 0.0 and 7 games with a rating under 40. from a talent stand point an NFL body Cutler is head and shoulders above Rex.

by MandMexpress12 on Jul 19, 2009 3:13 PM CDT up reply actions

I was not the one who said next game.

but post all 16 ratings from that year. and a lot of his good games were vs bad detroit and GB teams. Lets see he was awful in Win vs Cardinals. awful in win vs jets. awful in losses to Pats and packers. Awful in loss to Dolphins. Awful in one of the Viking games. and thats just all off top of my head.

by MandMexpress12 on Jul 19, 2009 3:17 PM CDT up reply actions

and he was great in ...

the win in GB, the win vs Det, the win vs Seattle, the win vs Buffalo, the win against SF, the win at the Giants, the win at St Louis, and the win against Tampa.

He averaged a 113 rating.

He had great games and awful games, but the idea this his best is only Cutler’s average is an exaggeration

I heard that the Bears are considering signing Mark Derosa. They heard from fans/sportswriters in the city that he is basically an athletic god, so they are going to let him play WR and OLB.

The last couple of years DeRosa may have been the best QB in Chicago. Definitely better than Orton who is only going to start in Denver so the coach can save face. Simms has outperformed him in practice.

We need 3 of these 4 to bounce and have good 2nd halfs.

What is your order of who you think will have the best 2nd halfs.

Bradley
Soriano
Soto
Ramirez

My order is
Soriano
Ramirez (only because injury otherwise he’d be #1)
Bradley
Soto

I predict they all have at least decent 2nd halfs.
And I’m predicting Harden has a solid but not spectacular 2nd half.

It still is impressive to focus and concentrate enough to sweep four games, especially against someone you are expected to win at. Sweeping may not prove they are ready for the playoffs, but it sure helps getting some wins for it.

Isn’t it kind of hard to believe it’s been 10 years since Riggs was the Cubs manager?

WHen he was the manager the first couple of years I babysat a friend’s kids and they liked this show called Kidsongs that featured a song called Michael Finnegan.

This is the story of Jimmy Riggleman
