for those of you in denial:

I have heard lots of away broadcasts of Cubs games this year on XM, and on many fly balls, these announcers are STUNNED at the late breaks that Soriano gets on most fly balls. I also know what I see and what Brenly has commented on concerning Fonzi.

He just doesn’t pick up the ball that well. Neither has Juan Pierre throughout his career and the guy is a career outfielder.

But hey, Cubs win!!

Good win.

since it will be the weekend here...

I’ll probably do my superstitious thing of avoiding the score when I get up, but instead listening to the WGN radio broadcast on the gameday audio archive (while following along with the gamethreads) — that strategy helped us win all those walk-off games! :P

Lou talking now..

Hedging now on putting fuld back in the lineup..

by DisCUBbobulated on Jul 2, 2009 10:05 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Clarification - for tomorrow

Reading between the lines – Fuld sits tomorrow and Sori bats leadoff, I think. Lou wants to see how he responds to a little competition?

by DisCUBbobulated on Jul 2, 2009 10:06 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

WHAT?

HOW much more competition does Fuld have to go through? How many more ways are they going to have to come up with to jar Soriano out of his streaks???

you can't possibly think

that Lou is going to sit Soriano so Fuld can play more. Fuld is a backup. That’s all.

I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. [ibid] This is the kind of fan I am.

Sure is amazing to have struggled so much..

And lo, who’s that in the distance? coming this way.. on a white horse??

Did you read the article on Aramis shoulder

It appears that he will probably need surgery after the season is over. As of right now Aramis needs to be careful when playing defense.

personally, I wouldn't want to see Aram touch a bat until August

to pinch hit and September until starting every other day.

A shoulder separation is nothing to fool with. God knows we need him but we DON’T need to rush this thing at all.
