Kudos to Lou.

Now if our brave manager can just get himself ejected again, we’re pretty much guaranteed victory.

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

hey it worked yesterday

congrats to Lou for sticking with what worked

Oh Baby!

Why not?

It was nice to see baserunners for DLee last night instead of 1 or 2 outs every time.

This is only the beginning....Lou Pinella end of '07 season and Chicago Transit Authority (the band when they were really good).

I believe

Sori is hurt. He needs time to heal. This is perfect timing.

Hackitis

$136 million payroll for a .500 style ballclub. Good work Jim.

Lou is establishing what coaches and managers do

he determines when and who to play. Performance counts, history was written when someone wrote “Casey Last At Bat”.

Meaning Soriano needs to get it together and then prove it that he is performing. I suspect that upon his return he will be down the lineup.

Piniella: "This is a tougher job than I thought it would be, I'm going to be honest with you."

Then your suspecion is incorrect.

He performs better in the leadoff spot. period.

Soriano will hit 5th or 6th when he comes back

That much I am confident in saying. He’s done for good in the leadoff spot. This few day rest is going to be used as the transition point.

We've won two in a row

Each night we’ve scored in the first inning after Fuld got on base. This inevitably means Soriano will be in the leadoff spot tomorrow.

Soriano will be back tomorrow

and he’ll bat leadoff.

I'm a Cubs FANATIC. They are my team, through thick and thin. [ibid] This is the kind of fan I am.

Rest is good

It helped A-Rod and Ortiz and hopefully it helps Soriano.

Most importantly, let’s just sweep the Brewers!

Rollins with a couple hits tonight

Which has been a rarity for him of late. Maybe some rest has done him some good, too.

I’d love to see Fuld push Soriano some, if possible. Just the little spark he has shown already seems to be pointing out what this team has been sorely missing.

I’ve always thought Soriano should bat 1st…but maybe he should bat 9th.

Fuld isn't going to push Soriano

I think Soriano needs to be at ease when Ramirez comes back. I’m at the belief he has put too much pressure on himself probably thinking that the team did it for him when he got injured.

Well that’s not what you want to say or use an excuse for your highly paid LF but there might be some merit to it.

I’ve made this bold prediction already but I’ll do it again: I think Soriano will hit 2HR’s in the first 7 games Aramis is back. I don’t think that’s a lot to ask for but with the way he’s hitting you never know.

IT IS OBVIOUS SORIANO

is in the worst slump since he became a cub . Some time off to think, rest and reflect . Maybe when he starts again we will see a differance . Let’s hope so.
