If George Sherrill is available why wouldn't the Cubs be interested?



Fox sports says it is inevitable that he will be dealt, and list the teams that are interrested and the Cubs are not mentioned. I think a left handed closer with great numbers in the AL east would be something we would want. Gregg hasn't been bad, but Sherril would be an upgrade, and he's only making 2.75 mil this year. I know the bullpen has been strong lately, but this would make our bullpen one of the best in the NL. If nothing else it would be nice be have a right and left handed option to use depending on the other teams 9th inning line up. Kind of Like Lou had with the Red's in the early 90's with Randy Myers, Norm Charelton, and Rob Dibble.
