Noting beats a good kissing-n-puking story.
Nice fanshot.
Come visit me inside Wrigley along the Addison side mezzanine fence straight up from 1st base.
I'm gonna recommend anything that's non-Brewers.

Didn't really read the article
But I enjoyed the ballpark when I went there in May. Very family-friendly and they had some damn good nachos. The fans I was sitting around were very nice too (I’m the over the top obnoxious fan unless I’m with my friends).
Overall very enjoyable experience and almost more convenient of a drive than getting to Wrigley. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take Wrigley over anywhere though!
the reason why miller park sucks is cause the brewers play there

I know, right?
The place is like a baseball museum. You can just feel the history when you walk in.
I always take a moment to let it all soak in. Right there is where Randall Simon hit the sausage over the head with a bat, right there is where Bernie the Brewer slides down the slide when someone hits a homer, that’s the mound where Zambrano threw a no-hitter…I mean, they’ve hosted TWO playoff games there. It’s living, breathing, baseball history!

Wow. FotB vs. left shark. Awesome.
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

Caught a game at County Stadium
But never had the pleasure of visiting Miller Park. It wasn’t the greatest venue in the world, but the locals we sat near were friendly enough.
Thanks for the fanshot – very entertaining read. Rec’d.
I went to Miller Park for the last series of the year last year.
I actually like the look and feel of the place. It is fairly intimate, the concourses are spacious, and I think the building looks cool.
But I had a horrible time on my one visit.
Thinking this may be an important series, I purchased two tickets when they went on sale in February. Having never been to the park before, I didn’t really know where my tix were. To my dismay I climbed, and climbed and climbed … all the way to the top row. My seat was next to a giant fence that blocked off some support structures. I couldn’t see anything to the left of centerfield and second base.
I work in costumer service, so I went to the guest relations booth. Showed pictures taken from my seat and politely explained my dissatisfaction. While the rep was nice, he didn’t do squat for me.
Why build a brand new stadium with restricted views and sell those tickets the day they go on sale with out mentioning they are restricted view!
What a load of crap

Ask the Yankees
They did the exact same thing for the bleachers in their new ballpark. And I’m sure those seats are much more expensive!
Oddly enough, no.
Bleacher tickets at the old Yankee Stadium were $12.
Bleacher tickets at the new Yankee Stadium are $14.

Wow didn't realize!
Well still, those obstructed views from Yankees bleachers are horrible!
Miller Park
actually happens to be a very lovely stadium. I think it has a great baseball field to it and it’s always a thrill to go see a game up there.
Count me as a big fan of Miller Park
It’s a great ballpark. My only complaint is the blaring rock music. Other than that it is a wonderful baseball experience.
Cubs will win 79 to 83 games. Season has been over for weeks. St. Louis will eventually run away with this division. And you can print it. BLou (7/21/09)
well
if you actually read the article, the bashing had nothing to do with the actual stadium itself, but the fans inside of it….i basically came out with the idea that SOME/MOST brewers fans are fat, obnoxious slobs that know nothing about baseball….haha.

Brewer fans are harmless
The big majority of crowds are average Joes simply enjoying a ballgame. I have found very few Brewers’ fans to obnoxious. In fact, they are extremely tolerable of that portion of Cub fans who descend upon Miller Park and act like obnoxious jackasses.

The park itself is ok, not the worst. The inside feels like a mall and not a baseball stadium.
I’ve been there 5 times since it replaced County Stadium. The fans seem obnoxious to me, I haven’t had the horrible experiences that I read in this article, but a good portion of fans near me made a point to try to provoke me (wearing a jersey, and not responding to them) about curses, the amount of Cubs fans there, how dirty our park was, some even tried to tell me all our fans were fat…and this from a huge overweight couple with some large children. I was glad to see the Cubs won 4 of those 5 decisively because the chatter from them sure stopped early in those.
I wouldn’t say the park was the worst I’ve seen, but I sure couldn’t say my experience with the fans would lead me to think the Brewers’ fans were being wronged by the article.

Funny article.
However, nothing could possibly be worse than the concrete pit that is the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. While the vibe itself is decent, the stadium itself leaves much to be desired.
Agreed.
There’s a reason they call that place the Mausoleum. Ugly concrete concourses, dank and dark. Terrible sightlines and seats 10 miles from the field.
Thanks, Al Davis, for making that place suitable for football only.

It's part of a series of articles on deadspin...
They’ve covered a dozen or so MLB parks so far, including Oakland’s. The Oakland article and the comments on it are hilarious — make me wish I’d managed to pay a visit to the place when I lived in San José.
This story from the Oakland article had me rolling...
I, unfortunately, got tossed from row 7 to row 3, tumbling head over heels, with my friends actually worried i might be seriously hurt. Now, most guards would see that, know we were shit canned, and probably smell the weed smoke on my friends, and kick us the fuck out of the game. The security guard that approached us: ‘nice landing, but i only give it a 7 because you got up too quick.’ (Bert G.)
Classic.
