The good ol' days
Billy Martin used to go into a series and pick out the one or two guys that would light it up against his team and do everything he could to take that guy out of the equation. Intentional walks, unintentional walks, chin music – every trick in the book. Maybe we should be doing that with Votto.
Lou is a big fan of billy martin. learned a lot for him. he should know strategy well. maybe he will employ it to Votto and Carlos Lee.

Why would you want to work the count there? Both pitches were good to swing on. If the wind is tamer both of those are GONE.
