Seating Input
I apologize ahead of time for needing to use a fanpost when clearly there are more important things on the Cubs agenda for you all to talk about, however, I have tickets for section 242-2 Row 5 in the right field corner. I obviously know these are going to be quite a ways from the infield and aren't box seats behind the plate, but I would like info about the '-2' after the section 242. Are these decent seats?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

Do we really have to have a seating question fanpost every single day?

It is the price we pay
for spoiling the PV deal. A pox upon us!

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

Maybe
it’s because the evil stoney’s twitter went private?

I'm still getting his tweets.
His tone has become rather neutral.

Be happy you have ANY seats.
Sorry to sound so bitter, but I’m really getting antsy to get to a game and I just can’t afford it right now. Been hoping that my husband will be able to get some tickets from work like he used to, but they’ve cut way back on doing that this year. The part that kills me is that a lot of the people that do get those few tickets aren’t even fans.

Firstly
If talking about seating is a bad post subject maybe we should rec it because the subject of the ROY HALLADAY post is ludicrous.
Secondly, in response to Mrs. Casey, I admit it is cheap for me cause I can walk to the stadium and only buy a scorecard once inside, but you and your husband can go to a game for $15 by utilizing the standing room tix at the day of game ticket office.
Forgive me for trying to get some information in order to enjoy my trip to Chicago this year. If this pains you all so much you dont need to answer the question. There would probably be less of these seating questions if the fanpost would be left unanswered, but instead all there is is complaining about having to read another one.
Personally, if I had the knowledge of Wrigleyville that some of you do, I would much rather enjoy trying to help another Cub fan enjoy his or her time in town than erroneously attempt to pinpoint which unattainable pitcher we are going to acquire at this crapshoot of a trade deadline. Just my 2 cents.
There was another post titled "seating help" not far below this.
You could have put this as a comment in that post.
This is a busy site and continued requests for help by ONE person push the posts of more general interest further down the list.

so by all means, act like a douche to those who visit the site
awesome approach

Nice comment.
I made a suggestion, didn’t call anyone a name, and explained why.
You, on the other hand, did quite the opposite in only two lines. Congratulations.

Try to understand.
Al is running a very busy, heavily trafficked blog. If everyone who procured a ticket to a Cubs game posted a Fanpost like this, the quality and efficiency of the site would be drastically lowered. And I find nothing “douchy” about his post. I’ve read a lot harsher rebukes from other moderators on other sites.

Like I stated above, I have no problem with your concerns as long as you do it the right way. I think we all understand that this is a busy site, but its almost seeming to be that unless we are the top 5 or 10 posters on this website who have the most power, then we can only talk about what you think is acceptable (i.e. Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Soriano’s spot in the order, all of these things that have been beaten like a dead horse multiple times from several different angles)
If this is supposed to be a fan-friendly site, then why can’t all Cubs fans feel comfortable asking their own questions without threat of being ridiculed? If it pains you so much so see some of these seating or parking questions, then all I’m asking is that you simply ignore them and allow others who would like to offer their expertise to do so.

That's not the point.
The point is, there was already a post about the same topic you posted about, only a few spots down the list. You could have posted your question in that post instead of starting a new one on the same topic.
That’s all I’m saying. BCB isn’t a message board where everyone starts a new thread.

No one here besides Al has any power.
And please note that this is the Internet – where everyone exists under the threat of ridicule. Try not to take it so personally.

Exactly
Unfortunately I dont know what the -2 means but 242 row 5 isnt terrible. Pretty sure its totally unobstructed. Also they are good for making a quick exit to the captain morgan club, harry carays or murphys if you care to enjoy a few post game libations. However, and of course, you must stay til the W flag is flying regardless of how thirsty you get.
One more thing about the location of your seats. Please be nice to Milton
the "dashes" are
meaningless (as far as I know, and I have been going to games since ’68, current ST holder).
I honestly do not know what is up with the Cubs and the dash.
In the terrace resvd. and “boxes”, the poles start at Row 8.
Your seats are ok. Have fun and bring binocs.
Don't know if this helps
but below is a link from SeatDatashowing a pic from section 242. This doesnt’ account for the “-2” or the Row, and I have heard that the site is somewhat innacurate. However, it may give you a general idea.

"Brant Brown...DROPS THE BALL!!!!"
your seats
are pretty decent…you’ll be sitting in the corner of the outfield, unobstructed. you’ll be in the sun for most of the game too (if it’s a day game, of course!). a friend recently sat in that section and enjoyed the seats (from the 7th row).
I heart the riot. (www.riotshirts.com)
