On the DL again
I’ll be back, that’s for sure. It’s nothing really serious. There’s just some pain right now from the fracture and it’s not allowing me to function the way I want to. Hopefully in the next couple weeks, I can get some activities in and hopefully, as we get into that third week, I’ll be getting into some serious baseball activity. I don’t think the fracture has a chance of displacing, so that’s good. That means it’s more pain threshold than anything. That’s kind of where I’m at right now.
Samardzija says he can play center? We’ll see. I’ve seen him shag. He’s all right.

Did anbody listen to wgn radio at like 7 pm yesterday?
Dave Kaplan had some show on, and Ryan Theriot was on the show being interviewed. They were talking about what they do after day games. Theriot told Kaplan that he took his kids to toys R us and that Rich Harden was over at his house washing his car. Kaplan says something along the lines of, Harden makes 7 million a year, why can’t he get someone to wash his car for him, and that he always gets afraid of Harden tearing his rotator cuff. Theriot relays the message onto Harden where Harden replies to Kaplan to shut up. It gave me a laugh

It is very simple for Hart to be effective. throw strikes and keep ball below thigh high. when he does that he is effective.
when not he gets hit very hard. He seems like typical 5th starter reminds me a lot of Marquis past two years. when he throws strikes and keeps ball down he can be very very good—last star. If not he can be very very bad. Also you will need to score a lot of runs to take pressure off him and on averagel best you can hope for is 5-6 innings 3-4 runs.

Yo, Cub Fans!! back from 2 weeks in Ecuador & Galapagos islands w/ Canberra Cub Fan
Thats 2 weeks w/virtually no info on cubs (only score for one game), And what to my delight, I see on WGN TV and hear Pat on the radio describing a fun run-fest.
And to my further delight, when I checked the standings, I see the cubs have done very well w/o the Canberra and Raleigh fans watching and hanging on every pitch, every out!
Hope that doesnt mean we should STAY away!
I’ll have to check archives to see how this all happened, as cubs were 3 1/2 back on July 15 when I left!
any way, go cubs!! glad to be back..
