There goes my Fantasy Team's best closer

I’m sure they will keep Broxton in the closer role, hopefully not

I would bet lots of money Broxton stays on as closer

Sweet deal for Orioles

I understand the deal for the Dodgers, but I would’ve rather seen them wait and be patient. There’s going to be arms available in August, and Hong-Chih Kuo is working his way back into form. He very well could be the dominant pen arm they need.

For Baltimore, sweet deal. Josh Bell is an enticing 3rd base prospect, and their core just got that much better.

If the Cubs have post-season aspirations, the better..

figure out how to hit the Dodger’s pitchers – it’s a very, very scary set of hurlers, especially in the pen.

Second most overworked group in the league though

Keep it up and they might not have a lot left in the tank come October

Andy McPhail got a helluva 3rd base prospect in this deal

But if you’re the Dodgers then you have to go for it. They have an excellent team and adding Sherrill to that pen makes them that more potent.

Cubs will win 79 to 83 games. Season has been over for weeks. St. Louis will eventually run away with this division. And you can print it. BLou (7/21/09)
