I was just reading a comment thread for a Tribune article about Jason Marquis

And I don’t understand why people keep saying that it was a mistake to dump him. We don’t need him – Ted would have 10 wins if he’d get some run support. Our starting pitching has been fine.

i apparently live in the "local" chicago area

so all the .tv Chicago games would be blacked out.

I guess I’ll just have to figure out a way to either get CSN on dish or switch cable providers… someday. We’ve got a good rate from Dish, so I doubt we’ll be switching anytime soon

I think it was

on Father’s Day they did a special on the pregame show about Bob and Michael. Bob said it means everything to him to be able to see Michael play. He said family comes first with him.

Neither of us know

what he would do. His son could get traded next year and if Bob doesn’t do a good job managing he could get fired. He’s pretty safe where he is.

As a color-man

He should be able to say something nice about the opposing team every once in awhile. All he does is keep quiet when the other team does well, which makes him biased and quite possibly the worst commentator baseball has.

… “drewishdrewid” doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Hawk heaps praise on teams, such as the Twins. In fact, I think it’s exactly opposite to what “drewishdrewid” claims.

If Hawk is so negative about other teams I’d like to hear some examples. For every negative remark about a team I’d be able to post 2X as many positive comments.

You know who Hawk heaps praise on? Lou Piniella. Hawk absolutely loves him. Hawk loved Lou when he was in Seattle, Tampa and his love for him continues as he wears that near bursting Cubbie uniform.
