Milton Bradley and the Cubs in NYT
I haven't seen this yet posted... sorry if a repeat.
On a related note, yesterday before the game and before gates were open, MB was taking fly ball after fly ball for half an hour in the sun. He'll figure out this Wrigley RF before he's done.
Give the guy a chance-- he's gonna be around for a while and can really help the team.

once again, he takes responsibility for himself. Pretty good article.

Cool article.
Here’s some more Milton Bradley news: Apparently he, Jake Fox and former Cub Doug Glanville visited a Veterans Hospital in Chicago yesterday.
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

Interesting that this side of Bradley seems to get very little play
Could it be that playing up the controversial aspects of MB makes better copy (and fuels the herd mentality that loves to attack him)?
I’m not saying that the guy doesn’t have his negatives but there’s also clearly a lot more to him than that and, as he’s going to be around here for awhile, it makes a lot more sense for us as Cubs fans to get behind him.

I agree.
I’ve been as frustrated with Milton’s production at the plate as anyone, but I haven’t given up on him. And I, too, wonder whether the Chicago media isn’t aware of this story or is consciously ignoring it.

baseball is a game of outs......pop out, ground out, line out, pitch out, strike out, fly out, and Fox and Bud's favorite black out

Wait, were those BCB points for Drew or me?
I’m trying to get a Snuggie here!

Paul Sullivan has admitted that he gives poor coverage to athletes he doesn't like
…and cheers against players who are mean to him.
Somehow he still has a job.

well, hope, for MB

I've crossed paths 15 times with MB
exiting the stadium,
and i’ve never seen anything
but a smile and a friendly hop in his step.
I’m not saying,
I’m just saying he’s a different picture in street clothes
than he is on TV as a serious, malcontent-looking ballplayer.
Come visit me inside Wrigley along the Addison side mezzanine fence straight up from 1st base.

thanks for the find
For my true fans, I feel bad for them. The longtime fans of the Chicago Bulls – I just felt like they’re being cheated. Not with me, but just things that happened in the past. I feel like the fans deserve a lot better. - BG7
