I think most good CF knock that ball down
wet or not. The game is tight. Its the only thing he should focus on.
Love the

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.
Seems like the

Lou Brown: "My kinda team, Charlie, my kinda team..."
From Deadspin.com:
In a way, this photo beautifully illustrates the great cosmic farce that all Cub fans must play a role in. For a brief moment, the boy is entertained by the clumsy follies of his favorite team, but meanwhile a darker truth lies quietly beneath the surface. The subtle interplay of comedy and tragedy is what defines the Cub Nation’s futile existence as they seek to find humor in their plight, lest the reality of their struggle reduce them to bitter tears.

Even after that game last night
I still like Kosuke in the leadoff spot
"Every player should be accorded the privilege of at least one season with the Chicago Cubs. That's baseball as it should be played - in God's own sunshine. And that's really living."
Why woudn't...
…you want your hightest OBP guy (who can run a little bit and is a smart baserunner) leadoff?
I am still scratching my head over Soriano hitting in that spot since 07.
"I don't like them fellas that drive in two runs but let in three" Casey Stengel
Dome saw more pitches in that at bat
that Soriano saw the entire month of june
Theriot has a .437 OBP with runners on base? o.O

Only we can hit into a hit-and-run DP!!
Sounds like we got screwed on the call at 2nd!! According to Pat & Ron.

when we got him
he was activated… ph the next day (i think)

When the Cubs traded for him.
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

Not at all.
As Len just said “that’s one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen. I mean, it wasn’t even close”
Wow, the Cubs better get that call back later in the game.

was it a pulled foot?
or was Dome just there…stuck at work…
I'll be betting on the Cubs in the NLCS in Vegas in October! Believe!
He was running on the pitch and had already slid INTO the base and had is ass literally sitting on the bag when the 2nd baseman caught the ball.

After looking at the replay, it was even worse.
A “MILE” in this case was literally TWO FEET. Dome’s foot is on bag. The ball is still TWO FEET from the fielder waiting on the toss from the SS.

i think its the same concept though
Umpires make these calls on context rather than facts. Ground ball right to the SS, 99 times out of 100 the guy is out so they just raise the right arm
