Is Johnny Macchione the "anti-Bartman"?
Beer-hurling fan from Bartlett spurns Cubs 17-2 victory. Is this a sign?

No, but...
…. I want “Mackioni” to become synonymous with douchebag.
“Yo’, don’t be a mackyoni, man. She isn’t interested in you.”
“Hey mackyoni, either drink the beer or put it down. Don’t throw it.”
“Hey mackyoni, does your girlfriend know you stole her sunglasses?”
“Mackyoni! The Backstreet Boys called and they want their look back.”
I think I speak for everyone here when I say, "Wait, what the hell are you talking about?"
No comparison
Bartman’s a guy who was unfairly vilified for doing what most fans do all the time. The media picked it up and blew it all out of proportion because it made a more “interesting” story than the actual one; namely that the Cubs collapsed like a house of cards in a typhoon as soon as they started feeling the pressure.
Macchione is a drunken little pinhead who, unfortunately, gives fodder to all of the misinformed people out there who think he’s representative of the majority of Cubs fans.
You nailed it..
Nice summary. Still, in an ironic sort of way, Macchione is the anti-Bartman, as you well describe.

Interesting.
One guy innocently, albeit absent-mindedly, reaches for a foul ball and is ushered out of the building by security as fans hurl invectives at him and eventually has to move to another state in fear for his safety.
Another guy willfully hurls a beer at an opposing player on the field and security ushers the wrong guy out of the building as a modest round of cheers and laughter erupt in the crowd.
This is not helpful to the image of Cubs fans at Wrigley Field.

And not for nothing...
But Bartman broke no rules. The ball was in the stands. He had every right to go for it.

Yeah, he's a real Two-Face.

If this kid gets turned into a new Bartman...
…that’ll say a lot about Cubs fans. That will be a sad day.
The kid made a mistake. He is being forced to deal with it. Let it go Cubs fans, let it go.
