BCB Fantasy Baseball - Race is On in League IV
I know nobody cares about anyone else's fantasy teams, but I've played in a lot of leagues over the years, and the 11-team BCB Fantasy Baseball IV league is probably the most competitive I've seen, with 6 teams over 70, and the leader at just 77.5. (http://games.espn.go.com/flb/leagueoffice?leagueId=18445)
Sure, I'm posting to gloat somewhat, as I was mired in the lower-middle rankings for most of the season, and am now in the lead. But while I have no intention of relinquishing the lead, I also realize that one bad day could see me back in 6th place - and that makes for a great race! And of the top 7 teams (#7 is still within the picture too!), "Cesar's Frisky Hands" have made the fewest moves (11), and, well, I'm not sure we want them to be making too many moves, honestly. :>
How are the other BCB leagues going? Is this typical?

Well that didn't last long did it ?
Remember what Satchel Paige said " Don’t look back someone may be gaining on you ". In fact I just moved ahead of you by half a game ( 4th place) with Happ’s win tonight. Tomorrow Lilly comes of the DL for me. It also looks my much maligned move to trade David Wright (who was auto drafted by mistake since I don’t allow any Mets, Yankees Cardinals or White Sox on my team) may not have been so crazy after all ( sorry about that Doug). Actually I don’t like the scoring system on the ESPN league but that may just be me. Anyway watch out the “Wrigley Midgets” are gaining.

Yeah, the trade which almost never was
(because people vetoed it the first time) has seen both my acquisitions, Zambrano and Wright, go on the DL, while Sandoval has hit .373 over the last 15 days and Kershaw has been steady.
i’m a little like the Cubs, because the majority of my top draft picks went on the DL, some for long stretches (I’m looking at you, Jose Reyes and Scott Kazmir). Although it has forced me to become acquainted with the good young players on other teams. In that way, playing fantasy has actually helped me enjoy the real season more this year…even if I am in seventh.

Well I was the idiot who took Kernshaw over Cain
I thought Cain might be injured. Stupid idiot.

heh
Oddly, I made you a trade offer early in the season which included Sandoval in a package for Wright. I was surprised to get no counter offer, based on your draft comments. Having drafted Longoria, I wasn’t highly motivated to keep trying.
Later, in a move which looks like an utter disaster, I cut Sandoval when it became clear he wasn’t going to get rated at catcher. Doh! :(
P.S. I agree about the scoring system. But it’s still fun. Now, about climbing back into 1st somehow….

I am sorry I don't remember
Probably did not know that much about him back then. Rude of me not to respond.
