Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Remaining schedule

Looking at wins and loses the Cubs remaining schedule may appear easy.  This current 7 game trip has 3 in SD where they always struggle, then 4 in LA.  Later in mid September they go on another 10 gamer with 3 in St.L and Mil. then 4 in SF!  Again, it seems like the media hears one guy say something and they all report it.  Then again, if your goal is to win the World Series, you have to beat these teams.

If your goal is to win the WS

look elsewhere because this Cub team is terribly flawed this year.

If you like Selig's handling of the steroid issue, you'll love his choice for next Cub owner.

I posted this in another thread on the wild card

The Braves and Marlins each have 19 games against teams above .500…..10 are against each other and of course the Phillies are in this mix.

The Rockies have 22 games vs above .500 teams while the Giants have the toughest schedule with 26 games vs. above .500 teams. In both of these cases I added the Brewers (currently 1 game under .500) as an above .500 team because they both play the Brewers. The Rocks and Giants also play each other 10 times adn each has the Dodgers.

As I look at this I would say the easier path if for the Cubs. I would assume each would beat each other up and could get beaten up by their respective division leaders. Of course in looking at any schedule, we would have to assume the Cubs do their part and win

This is only the beginning....Lou Pinella end of '07 season and Chicago Transit Authority (the band when they were really good).

Do you also

include the 7 games the Cubs play against MIL as remaining games against an above .500 team?

I didn't count any Cubs games

but yes, I think you have to count Brewers too.
