Not if the mgr. finally shows him the bench
I’m sure has some excuses as to why Sori is struggling, his knees, the damp air, tweaked hammy, crabs, ……
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
agree with the others....
he would need to strike out about two times per game for the rest of the season. He’ll eventually get on that hot streak for 3 or 4 games and everyone will be like he’s back….but then he’ll go into that slump for 10+ games. And we don’t even know if Lou will keep playing him if he keeps slumping.

Fukudome's second half success
I attribute it to me pulling my Fukudome jersey out of the closet. I banished it there last September.
Do you have a bunch of other Cubs
jerseys you can pull out?

Bradley should have scored on that with two outs...
I wonder if he was running hard the whole time. Can’t really see it on their camera angle.
I went back to the replay
and the leftfielder fielded it pretty cleanly.
But if I had to guess, I’d say Milton jogged halfway between first and second expecting it to go.
DLee pulled a little Sosa-hop in the box, too. But he still waltzed into second.

Are you paying it?
All I care about is production.
OPS, bud.
DeRosa is hitting .226 with the Cards. You call that production?
No, just sayin
OPS isn’t everything. Derosa has sucked so far in STL and I love it! Even though he is an upgrade at 3rd over what they had there.
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
OPS is the quickest way to measure offensive production.
It encompasses HRs through SLG, so your argument makes no sense.
i have no argument, jerk
I was just saying that Derosa has produced some HRs and RBIs. Bradley hasn’t, twist it any way you want, I don’t care. The Bradley signing has been a bust by any mesurement.
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
Do we really have to do this now?
Hello, we’re winning!
Jerry’s been so distant lately and Lovie barely calls.- Just Dave

Would like to see some doubles, homers, & rbis in addition to the fine OBP
to take some pressure off DLee & Rami.
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
Did they stop counting HRs as RBIs?
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
When you only have 30 rbi, it sure doesn't!
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
They are an important measurement for a
middle of lineup batter, as Bradley been for most of the year.
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
something like SLG or ISO would be much better
or at least adjust RBI for opportunities or use OPS with RISP or something
anything to actually measure the player instead of the player and the hitters in front of him.

Yeah, what Allie said...
And, in addition, there’s a summary of how many runners he’s had on base in his PAs compared to league average if you look at batting gamelogs. You can also look up his RE24 and WPA measurements on Fangraphs.
But if you go around looking for evidence that MB sucks in these places, well, you won’t find it because it isn’t there. He played rather badly early in the year and since then has been quite good.
you know what's really amazing .... in the years of baseball i've never seen a lineup where all the hitters are hitting .300

Harden is really impressing as hitter
just missing the foul line
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
and he can run
I’d PH Z and Harden before Miles

out of curiosity, are you from Chicago?
only reason I ask is because that city has a pretty well understood, but not officiallly sanctioned of course, policy of segregation. In fact, it’s so strong that demographers had to invent a new term. Hyper-segregation.
Might be useful to know.
