Wow

That was very…. to the point.

I won’t even say whether I agree or disagree with any of it ;)

Jackie likes the smell of cut grass, he used to play ball on Saturdays, Playin in the sun...

That was awesome.

I want to hug that man. Glorious.

Awesome

This line about miles made my day

Furthermore, I would like to know how you keep your job after every single at bat. Seriously. Most little kids go to camps, or their dad buys the Tom Emanski video (Fred McGriff told us to). Apparently your daddy bought you the Helen Keller Approach video and told you to watch it all weekend before Spring Training. You’re miserable.

I feel like he read my mind and typed it out.

He was really spot on with most of what he wrote

and quite funny, might I add.

I would have given a shout out to Ted Lilly

The best example of a professional on the team.

oh, the Kosuke post is dead-on

He’s improved, and still worth about half of what he’s making.

Yawn.

Not a fan.

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

Weak

This guy does not write very well, and his reasoning is pretty weak.

I don’t think that he would fare well on “Are you smarter than a fifth grader”.

I don't think he meant for it to be well written.

Just a rant.

So, by definition, a rant isn't well-written?

no...

but my guess is that he wrote this write after a game like we’re watching tonight and didn’t put much time and thought into it. He just epressed all the emotions he’s felt since June

Fair enough, but this:
didn’t put much time and thought into it.

…pretty much sums up why I have no use for that particular blog.

It's in the context peopl

if you love snark then what he typed is quite funny, and tongue in cheek also…. at least that’s what i got out of it.

Right on

… maybe could have mentioned Lilly and Fuld, who actually try

by bringbackbanks on Aug 26, 2009 7:35 AM CDT reply actions

Spot on!

I don’t care if this was well written or not, his points are valid. Maybe he did not use specific examples of why they are valid but the intended audience can figure it out. I used to be the optomist until our magic number was “E”. After last year, I won’t be the one heart broken in October. I will continue to root and support but every out I see gets me closer to Football and the day pitchers and catchers report. Here’s to the 2010 Chicago Cubs.

when asked about his performance against the Reds - Lieber said the following
"Well obviously I made some bad pitches today, left to many over the plate and they got good wood on the ball. The only good thing was that I was able to get back into the clubhouse earlier then I planned so I could eat."
