MESA WON'T LET

the Cubs slip away . The Cubs and it’s huge fan base means millions to the Valley of the Sun . Spring training in the Grapefruit league does not match up to AZ. The Phoenix area becomes party central in March . Fans have a short drive to area ball parks . Even going to Tucson is only a 100 mile road trip . Keep Mesa …….

This can't happen.

Arizona spring training is SO MUCH better than Florida simply because any day of the week you can see one of a half dozen baseball games being played in the same town! Florida requires hours and hours of driving. The Cubs are the driving force behind the Arizona market, and everybody knows it. Don’t leave Arizona, Cubs management, please.

As I have written many times before....

… Mesa (and the Phoenix area in general, if Mesa can’t swing it) cannot afford to lose the Cubs. It would cost them less to keep them than the financial impact of having them leave.

They’ll get it done.

If the Cubs move

Some of you do not know that the Rays will have spring trng. in Charlotte Co., the Twins and Red Sox are both in Lee Co. If the Cubs move spring trng., to Collier Co. you will have 4 teams less than 100 miles apart.

Plus look at the comments section not alot of favorable reviews about the Mesa area.

Wow.

Four teams less than 100 miles apart? In the Phoenix area, once the D’backs and Rockies move, there will be 15 teams less than 50 miles apart.

I’m not sure where you saw “not a lot of favorable reviews”. The Phoenix area has many things to do, and the weather is almost always consistently better than Florida in March.

Ask yourself why teams are moving FROM Florida TO Arizona, rather than the other way around, and you’ll have your answer.
